[Vip-socialempowerment] Spring Semester Events

Hello!
Orientation nights are over and it's time to start thinking
about activities and events for this semester! We are working
with 2 new agencies this semester, so get excited! The first
one is called MAMA (Mentoring Adolescent Mothers to Achieve),
which pairs a volunteer with a pregnant teen. The volunteer is
a mentor and will offer support to the teen. There is a 4 hour
orientation requirement, but the coordinator of MAMA is
willing to split it up into 2 hour shifts and can even plan
orientations for Sundays! This is a great opportunity to get
involved and only requires one phone call to the teen a week,
but you can make it as big of a commitment as you want! The
second agency is the Don Moyer Boys and Girls Club! We have a
variety of volunteer opportunites that range from helping out
with the after school programs to working recreational events
to planning field trips and summer programs for the kids. I
have attached a general flyer that explains all of the
projects as well as a coordinator application. If you have any
questions, feel free to e-mail me and the respective
coordinators will start e-mailing all of the people that
signed up at orientation nights shortly!
