1.  Eat and be entertained while you come and help out with one of the
biggest events of the summer, Taste of C-U! Volunteers are needed to
assist with ice delivery, monitoring entrances throughout the park, sell
food tickets, monitoring the children's area, and aiding with park
beautification. This will be a three day event from June 20th from
4pm-9pm, June 21st from 10am-9pm, and June 22nd from (11am-5pm).  Contact
Krisit Bolton at 217-398-2550 for more information.

2.  2nd Annual Illini Heat Track Festival sponsored by the Illini Heat
Track Club need volunteers to take results from events to the finish
officials, run the concessions area, be a great snow cone maker or Chef
Tell on a Bar-b-q grill, or just help handing out food.  In addition
Illini Heat need retrievers for the shot, disc & javelin competitions,
rakers for the jump pits, help with resetting crossbars, etc.  If you have
some track experience, we will place you with a head event official.
Finally, very early in the morning (6:00am) and again early evening around
5:00pm, we will need help with setup and teardown of tents and concessions
if you only have a couple of hours, your help here would be tremendous!

3.  Volunteers needed to "cuddle" the adoptable cats at the Champaign
County Humane Society anytime Monday thru Saturday between 9am and 6pm,
and Sundays between 9am and 4pm. Contact Julie Keith at julie at cuhumane.org
for more information.

4.  Champaign County Nursing Home needs volunteers that will help
residents with bingo on Wed from 6:45-7:45 and Sat 2:00-3:00. Contact the
Volunteer Coordinator at (217) 384-3784.

5.  Champaign Park District needs volunteers to help with Monday morning
Bridge club.  Knowledge of bridge is important, also be able to make a
good pot of coffee.  Volunteers may also need to fill in if a table is
short a player.  Contact Sue Grey at 217-398-2550.
