Welcome to another edition of the 217mafia Hitlist, your source for
all electronic music news and events in Champaign-Urbana.

NEWS

Wow. It's been almost a month since the last Hitlist hit your inbox.
But we're back, and we've got some upcoming events to report...

- On Saturday, April 12, Toymaker and Geist Productions are going to
host what is shaping up to be a very cool event called "Break:In ->
Technology." The event will not only have a lineup that will feature a
lot of live PAs and good electronic music, but also information booths
from various groups around Champaign-Urbana explaining and showcasing
different technologies. For now, just mark April 12 as the date and
we'll bring you more details and a web flyer as the event gets closer.

- On Friday, April 4 there will be an event that doesn't involve
electronic music, but is definitely worth checking out. At the Illini
Media Building, The UC Hip Hop Congress will present day 2 of Hip Hop
Awareness Week. This particular event is the DJing event, and will see
Spinnerty, D-Lo, Bozak and Limbs working together to spin their way
through the history of hip hop. The event runs from 9 pm to 2 am.

- Lastly, a reminder to head out to the Highdive every Sunday for the
ever improving, ever growing in popularity, ever laid back night
called Chillax. There's no cover, and the night features DJs and bands
performing laid back sets for you to relax to. This week, local
electronic live duo Reds will perform on stage and Mertz will be
spinning a laid back downtempo set. The night starts at 9 pm.
