*Hello CU bike folks,*

How about this beautiful summer!? Here's the latest scoop on The Bike
Project and related events.

*August Co-op Etiquette Tips:* The co-op sometimes gets crowded in August,
so some basic etiquette is needed to keep things running smoothly at the
co-op.

   - If a bike is "tagged" with someone else's information. Please respect
that claim on the bike. Don't remove tags or alter them. If a tag is
expired (> 4 weeks old by date) talk to a volunteer staff member for a
   disposition.
   - Conversely - If you tag a bike, (a) try not to have more than one
tagged at a time (b) make sure all your information is on the tag including
intended use, a date, and contact information (c) if you leave a tagged bike
in the co-op for more than 4 weeks after the tag date, it will be reclaimed
   and put to use.
   - Clean up and put tools back after you use them. If you're going
through tires or used parts bins, put those back in order when you're done
ransacking. We don't have magic fairies floating around to put things away.

*The Bike Project is Hiring!* - Actually its a one year Americorp position,
but it still counts right?

   - The job description is here -
   https://post.craigslist.org/manage/1307936764/m4cnr
   - Cover letters and resumes can be sent to thebikeproject at gmail.com
   - You'll need to apply through the Americorp system as well as apply to
The Bike Project. For more info - see the job description.
   - This position is good news for the co-op as the Americorp volunteer
will be responsible for helping to coordinate and grow our already stellar
volunteer staff. This will also support expanded member DIY hours during
   the next year!

*Upcoming bike related events:*
**
*The Mustache Ride* - August 22nd. An alleycat style ride followed by a
concert at the IMC. More info - www.mustacheride.org

   - Volunteers are needed at checkpoints. Email me if you can help
   acherolis at gmail.com.
   - Register early for a discount and a guaranteed t-shirt.

*Bicycle Music - Schwinntonations* - August 30th. This musical group
creates music using bikes and bike parts.

   - Great family friendly event. Good reason for Sunday evening family
   ride.
   - More details to follow - other bands may be added.

Ride safe and enjoy the rest of the summer!
