From pmgraff at gmail.com Wed Oct 26 01:41:24 2016 From: pmgraff at gmail.com (Phil Graff) Date: Tue, 25 Oct 2016 20:41:24 -0500 Subject: [Bikecoop-announce] The Bike Project monthly meeting Message-ID: Hello everybody, got a few brief things to mention here: *The Usual (Meeting)* It's meeting time again, real soon.* Wed Oct 25*,* 6:30pm* at the IMC/downtown Urbana location. We'll eat some pizza, make some decisions, and have a good or reasonably-good time. We'll discuss the agenda at https://drive.google.com/open?id=1FynBrF4mSQViee7SFu7knU1s3_VBvs-6Vbj9Y_Cnzcs. Add something (if you have access), request access, or just reply to this email if you have something you want to discuss. We depend on our community to make TBP better! *Cranksgiving!* The 9th annual Cranksgiving event will be held on* Sat Nov 12*, with a rain date of Nov 13. Registration is at noon, ride starts at 1:00. If you don't know what this is, it is a food drive by bike to gather food for donation to Eastern Illinois Foodbank. In alleycat-race style, there will be a series of four grocery stores to visit, several non-perishable food items to buy, and at the end we'll have some prizes. No entry fee, but bring $5 to $10 (or more!) to get the foods for donation. This will also (likely) be the last year Kyle heads this up, so let's have the biggest and best yet to say thanks to him! I think 1,000 pounds of food might do it. Spread the word to all of your friends who like to have fun and do good at the same time. *Volunteers* Our Urbana/IMC weekend hours are experiencing a shortage of volunteer staffers. If you or any of your friends might be interested, please let us know. Also, because weekends are hard to commit to on a regular basis, if you might be able to join a list of "maybes", or even just be willing to remotely oversee staffing of weekend hours (like make sure we have at least two people available on a given weekend shift), let us know! Thanks, you are amazing :) Phil Volunteer, The Bike Project -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:
