Here is this month's email.

*September Members' Meeting, Monday at 6:30 pm*
We will have our monthly members' meeting* this coming Monday September 25,
at **6:30 pm **at the IMC location (basement)*. We'll discuss the agenda at

If you have anything to add, either edit the agenda (email
contact at thebikeproject.org if you need editor access) or email
contact at thebikeproject.org with the agenda item you'd like us to add. There
will be pizza and beer.

*Light the Night 2017 coming up next week*
*As we do every September, we will be installing free lights on bikes
this Tuesday September 26, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m, at the following
locations (Note that we have a location change this year)*

   - Location 1: SE Corner of Wright St. and Springfield Ave. (near the
   Bardeen Quad) Urbana, IL
   - Location 2: SW Corner of Illinois St. and Lincoln Ave. (near the
   Hallene Gateway) Urbana, IL

*Urbana Shop Open Hours on Wednesdays *
The Urbana shop is now holding open hours on *Wednesdays 6:30-9:00 pm*.

*Volunteer Orientation*
The monthly volunteer orientation sessions are open to anybody interested
in making a staffing commitment on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. We go over
the basics of staffing, how to help even if you do not know much about
bikes (yet),
and answer questions you might have. The next session is this *Thursday
September 28, 5:30 pm at our location in the IMC basement.*

*Ladies and Trans Hours resumed*
Ladies and Trans hours will be held on the first Monday of every month. The
next session will be on *Monday October 2, at 6:30 pm at the IMC location*.

*Have your Bike Project member card with you on your visit*
We set up a new sign-in system that is linked to our member database at
both the IMC location and the Campus Bike Center. Now instead of typing in
your name you scan your member card. Please bring your member card with you
on your next visit to either shop. If you lost your card, let a staffer
know during open hours and they will help you.

*Make sure to update your tags *
We are starting to go through the tags on build-a-bikes and shop-builds. As
you know, if a tag on a bike has not been updated for over two weeks then
that bike is available for other members to work on. Please make sure to
update the tag with the latest date you worked on the bike.

*The Bike Project is in need of volunteers for Shop Hours*
We need volunteers for *Wednesday* and *Sunday* hours at the IMC shop. Also
we are hoping to get volunteers in order to restart *Saturday* hours. If
you are interested in volunteering, please come to the meeting, the
volunteer orientation, or drop an email to contact at thebikeproject.org.

*2017 Cranksgiving?!*
Are you interested in getting involved in planning this year's
Cranksgiving? If you are then please come to Monday's meeting or send an
email to contact at thebikeproject.org.
