[Bikecoop-announce] October Members' Meeting, Cranksgiving, and more

Dear members of The Bike Project,

Hopefully, you haven't given up riding your bike as the weather has gotten
cold. Here is this month's newsletter:


*October Members' Meetings, Tomorrow at 6:30 pm*

We will have our monthly members' meeting tomorrow*, Monday, October 29,
at **6:30 pm **at the IMC location (basement)*. We'll discuss the agenda at

If you have anything to add, either edit the agenda (email
contact at thebikeproject.org if you need editor access) or email
contact at thebikeproject.org with the agenda item you'd like us to add. There
will be pizza.


*2018 Cranksgiving on Saturday, November 3 *

Join The Bike Project's 11th annual Cranksgiving which takes place on
*Saturday,
November 3*. Registration *starts at noon and the ride starts at* *1:00 pm*.
Meet at The *Bike Project in Urbana (202 S. Broadway Avenue) - the IMC
location*.

Cranksgiving is a food drive where food is collected by riding around
Champaign/Urbana/Savoy and purchasing food at local grocery stores. Riders
earn prizes by completing the ride in the fastest time, with the most food
from the challenge list. The ride is a pick your own route/adventure ride.

Bring a bike, a bag to carry your collected food, a lock for when you are
in the stores, and money: at least $5 or however much you would like to
spend on food to donate.
All food donated will go to the Eastern Illinois Food Bank. Here's the

*The Next WTF Night On November 5, 6:30-9:00 pm*

The next Women and Trans Folks night at The Bike Project will be on *Monday,
November 5th, at the IMC location, 6:30 - 9:00 pm*.


*Update your tags and try to finish up your BABs*

Please make sure to update your tags and if possible finish up your
build-a-bikes (BABs) as we approach the end of the year so we can clean up
and organize the shop space.
