- 9:00 pm **at the IMC location (basement). *Come and get your bike ready
for the Spring!

*Volunteer Orientation*
The Bike Project is in need of volunteers who can commit to staffing every
week or every other week. Staffers open the shop, assist visitors, teach
members, and handle sales. It's also one of the best ways to learn bike
repair! Inexperienced mechanics are welcome to join us and learn from our
more experienced staff. The new volunteer orientation will be on *Thursday,
February 28, 5:30 - 6:30 pm at the IMC location (basement)*. Here is the
Facebook event page: https://www.facebook.com/events/1877200675735692/

*Volunteers Needed on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays at the Urbana Shop*
The Bike Project needs volunteers to help staff open hours on *Wednesdays
(6:30-9:00 pm)* and *Saturday & Sunday afternoons (2:00 – 5:00 pm)*.
Mechanical skills are welcome but not required! We're always looking for
non-mechanical help, such as answering questions, talking about the Bike
Project's programs, and/or checking out purchases. If you're interested in
developing your mechanical knowledge, other volunteers can train you. You
can also show up to the next volunteer orientation session mentioned above.

*Earn-A-Bike Program*
The Bike Project of Urbana-Champaign now has an earn-a-bike program.
Individuals who volunteer 20 hours of their time at TBP are now able to
build a bike of their choice for free. The 20 hours for the earn-a-bike
program also includes a one-year membership as part of the work-equity
membership program.

*Independent Media Center Survey*
Our friends at the Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center (IMC) need all
the people who care about the IMC to come together with their skills and
resources to help this amazing space continue to support arts and media in
our community. If you can, please fill out the IMC's short survey
