Hello Co-op members,

Here is an Update on Local Katrina Aid:

Many of you have asked about places to donate food and other supplies you
may have handy. There is a local semi-truck that is being driven down to
rural Jackson County, Mississippi tomorrow morning. They are taking all
non-perishable supplies to distribute to families there. These families
are in need of canned or dry goods. If you have items to donate, you can
drop them off at the semi-truck before 9pm tonight. It is parked at the
former Kay's merchandise parking lot near Bradley and Mattis. See below
for more details and contact information. The Co-op will be donating soap
and some other bulk supplies that we'll be dropping off this evening.

Subject: help needed now for MS truck

All,

Volunteers are running very thin at the truck that is loading food to go to
Mississippi. They need relief. If you can go out to the truck (in the
parking lot of the former K's merchandise just north of Bradley on
Mattis)and help receive donations and box them up, that would be greatly
appreciated.

Please call Kelly at 369- 8437 if you can.

Thanks!

Kimberlie
