After discussing options with @elationfoundation, I'm setting a set of default icons for users to select to represent their app.  

Another option is to create a plaid representation of the serval fingerprint. While this has a strong practical application, right now our use of serval is fairly limited and won't display as unique icons (limiting their utility here). Because we are also reviewing further serval integration post-RC1, I will submit that as an advanced feature.
