"tether" and "connect" sound about the same to me.  "client" is inappropriate because it suggests there is a server somewhere.  I could see a better name that highlights the p2p aspect of it.  I don't have a strong feeling of MeshTether vs MeshConnect, just a slight preference for MeshTether.
