[Commotion-discuss] using a wireless gateway for a commotion router

I would be hesitant to use powerline ethernet in a public building for security reasons, as it is much harder to secure than a small switch (basically the whole building, or a portion of it, becomes a giant hub), and I recall reading that the built-in encryption in most powerline ethernet products are woefully insecure.

In addition to the option of adding an additional Commotion node in the back of the building, it should theoretically be possible to configure the node in the front of the building to be a wireless client of the gallery's access point. This would have to be done in the built-in OpenWRT menus, since it is not Commotion-specific functionality. That said, I've never tried this, so can't really give you more details than that.
