[Commotion-discuss] How are local apps on Commotion these days?

The local hacker space here in St. Louis (Arch Reactor
<http://archreacto.org>) will be having a fundraising event in a couple
months, and I was keen about deploying a handful of Commotion nodes at the
venue.

In particular, the fundraiser will host a few dozen project demos and eye
candy opportunities (with the liquid N2 demo being my favorite), along with
a chilli cook-off. I was curious about deploying one or two local apps on
the Commotion mesh to facilitate simple, mobile-friendly presentation of
whens & wheres, overlaid on a draggable map of the venue space. Very basic
interactivity, e.g. letting participants to vote on their favorite demo,
would be cool, but I'm guessing just read-only presentation would itself be
cool.

I see this list of currently supported apps:
https://commotionwireless.net/docs/guides-howtos/local-applications/

I was also looking at current deployments of Tidepools (e.g. Red Hook,
Turkey), but it looks like that may no longer be under active development?

Are there perhaps other up-and-coming local mapping apps, which folks may
be considering as alternatives to Tidepools?
