[CMI-CM] How Radical?

"Buy Nothing Day" and the Marketplace Mall ride are both good ideas. But,
the timing could not be worse.

The weekend right after Thanksgiving is the biggest holiday shopping time
of the year. Which means most of the folks we encounter will be doing
Christmas shopping. Harrassing christmas shoppers will make us look
really bad. I know we would try to make it fun and friendly, but many
people would see it as harrassment.

The timing of "Buy Nothing Day" is unfortunate. Even if millions of
people refuse to buy anything, it will still be a busier than average
buisiness day.

Thanksgiving and Christmas both celebrate consumerism. If we attack
consumerism now, we will be seen as anti-thanksgiving, anti-christmas.
This is one of the worst times we could choose to attack consumerism.
