Two of us saw it last night. Great movie, and also well worth seeing if only as a reminder of how far (thank God) we've come since then wrt gay rights (still a long way to go in some respects). Surprising that Reagan was on the side of the good guys re no vote on prop 6/overturn ban on workplace discrimination (including firing of gay teachers AND those supporting them). Penn was outstanding, and tho' Rourke is apparently hands down favorite -- I would be okay if they gave the Oscar to Penn on Feb 22nd.
