Hi there--

FYI.

Of special quick note from Joe's e-mail is the following: " Ironically,
secret documents from Philip Morris reveal that it had successfully test marketed a
fire-safe Marlboro cigarette in 1987, but decided to shelve the project until
"public pressure builds unduly." Fire-safe cigarettes result in fewer
cigarettes sold as smokers simply re-light cigarettes that go out instead of having
to buy new ones."

All the best for a healthy and happy new year!

PS. I am preparing a summary of industry's diversionary tactics and what
industry hoped to gain from such tactics--hope to post the summary on this
listserve soon.
