[C-U Smokefree] Notes from the Prez

Greetings to all Alliance members,

 

Just thought I'd jot down a few notes from our meeting in advance of the
full text of the minutes.

 

We've changed our meeting times as follows: Our next regular meeting is
scheduled for Monday March 1.  Mark your calendars. Flyers will be
posted on the web site soon - please print and post!  We're moving to
first Tuesdays of the month after that.

 

Remember, all members are charged with getting 10 names on the
individual supporters' petition and at least one organizational
supporter, if not more. If you have any difficulties printing the forms
or meeting flyers from the web site, please let Dan know as soon as
possible.

 

Also, we are (ambitiously) trying to schedule an Interim Planning
meeting, a Strategic Planning meeting, and an Education Committee
meeting, all in the next two weeks - times will be posted soon.

 

Last week, we all welcomed Theo Tsoukalas to town, we had the
opportunity to meet with him several times and his presentation at our
meeting both stimulated our thinking and strengthened our resolve to
'C-U Smokefree'

 

Future opportunities for which we will need volunteers include the
Champaign County Board of Health meeting, the Urbana Health Fair (March
5) and the Urbana Park District Health Fair (March 20). We also need to
create a backboard/display and some kind of basic flyer for Health Fairs
and other public events.
