The CU-Smokefree Alliance is enduring admirably well the challenges of
opposition, the challenges of local apathy, and the challenges of the logistics of
carrying out acts of caring and kindness directed at ALL residents of the Twin
Cities area.
As a former resident of the great Twin Cities and a fellow journey person in
the movement to achieve smokefree public places worldwide, I am very pleased,
indeed, to see the great enthusiasm, and the great hope that is to be found in
the ideas, strategies, work, and the deeds of Scott and all the other folks
(too numerous to mention from 1,700 miles away) of the CU-Smokefree Alliance.
May your work be blessed and protected, and may your work be recognized even
more in the next few months and beyond.
Enjoy the true colors of freedom--to be free of all sources of toxic
exposure, to be free of all sources of harm and illiness associated with smoking and
tobacco use, and to be free to continue to campaign towards reaching the higher
ground of better health and much less disease for the Twin Cities community.
Then, I can say without guilt, Happy Fourth to you all!
