The Governor's Office is keeping a tab of calls at these numbers:
217-782-0244 or 312-814-2121 Every single call will make a difference!
We need THOUSANDS of calls into the Governor's office TODAY!!  Please
forward this alert to your lists! 

Talking Points: 

This is a PUBLIC HEALTH issue!  Secondhand smoke KILLS 8 people in
Illinois EVERY DAY!  

No reputable study has ever shown clean indoor air laws to result in a
negative economic impact on the hospitality industry.  In fact, most
reputable studies show a positive economic impact!!  

Almost 80% of our population are NON-SMOKERS!  

HB 672 does not require municipalities to do anything - it is not a
mandate.  It only gives local communities the OPTION to regulate smoking
in public places.  HB672 is a LOCAL CONTROL bill.  

Indiana, Wisconsin, Missouri and even Kentucky all allow local control!
Illinois should too!  

CALL THE GOVERNOR TODAY.  EVEN IF YOU HAVE ALREADY DONE SO, WE NEED YOU
TO DO IT AGAIN.
