I agree with Kathy - although I'm still a little disturbed by the
prospect of opposition showing up to speak in support of this and
getting 'unanswered' mic time.

I don't think any of us should go.  This should not be given any
credence.  It won't get the signatures required to move forward on this,
and if it does, then we can act.  I'm sure that Giraldo will let us know
what's up with this.  Scott can certainly chat with Giraldo and see what
becomes of this Champaign Mayor initiated piece of paper after tonights
city council meeting.  Quite frankly, I think it will fall flat and that
Champaign should get with it and look to the future!  Smokefree
Champaign!!
