[C-U Smokefree] Obvious decline in business

I can say that I witnessed for myself the "decline in business" that
everyone is crying about. My family and I went to dinner last night
(Saturday) at about 6:30. We attempted to go to Friday's, however, because
there were no spaces in the lot and at least 20 people waiting for tables,
we decied to pass on it. Instead we went to Hooter's. Fortunately, they
have exprienced a loss in business, because the wait was only 20 minutes.
By the time we had finished dinner (about 8:45 because the kitchen was so
far behind) the place had cleared out some, but they still weren't lacking
people. My husband had been out on north Prospect a little earlier in the
evening and he said it took him nearly 20 minutes to get from Meijer to the
interstate and that every parking lot he passed was totally full.

So obviously, the resturants of C-U are suffering a serious lack of business
that could cause them to close their doors at any moment. </sarcasm>

Thanks C-U smokefree for allowing my family to have a tasty meal at a place
that wouldn't have gone in the past because it was too smoky and I would not
expose my children to that type of health risk.

Carrie
P.S. my 5 year old nearly had a heart attack when he saw 2 people standing
out front smoking when we pulled up. He said "mom I thought you said this
place didn't have smoking anymore" I told him that it didn't and he said
"well I saw two people standing there <shudder, face screwed up like he just
ate something terrible> SMO-KING" The next generation of CUSF is well on
their way towards continuing our efforts :)
