The SSID change is a peculiar case, when upgrading we 
can change that on the running laptop.  The addressing
issue is also problematic (10.0 v 168.254).  Both of 
these we have to deal with, in any case.

If the laptop is is one hop to the target node, then
the routing protocol is moot, right?
