Subject: Linux programmer needed

Programmer Wanted

As part of the collaboration with Champaign Urbana Wireless Community Network
(http://www.cuwireless.net), we are looking for 1-2 students who are well
versed with Linux to work on an open-source embedded Linux system. At a very
high level, we would like to port NetBSD-based CUWireless software onto Linux.
This is a good opportunity for students who want to get hands-on experience in
the area of embedded system and networking. A qualified student should have the
following skills

   * Is familiar with UNIX system programming in C language
   * Is familiar with the networking system in Linux and BSD
   * Understands issues of porting software from one UNIX platform
     (NetBSD) to another one (Linux)

The student will be paid at (competitive) hourly rate, with an opportunity of
being appointed as a Research Assistant (based on performance). Ph.D.-bound
graduate students will be giving technical advices/supports upon request.
Please contact Jennifer Hou (jhou at cs.uiuc.edu) if interested.
