Open Park to Offer Inauguration Week Public Wi-Fi Service Along
Pennsylvania Ave. Parade Route and on Capitol Hill

I'd like to give everyone on our mailing list a "head's up" about the
free public hotspot
Open Park has now deployed for Inauguration Week along the Pennsylvania
Avenue parade route. The hotspot will operate through January 22nd at
Pershing Park on the north side of Pennsylvania Ave. between 14th and 15th
Sts. NW. Coverage will also extend to portions of Freedom Plaza across
from City Hall and the northeast portion of the Ellipse. This hotspot
will complement our current hotspot on Capitol Hill which provides
service in front of the Supreme Court and the site of the new Capitol
Visitors' Center. During Inauguration Week, we
want to show Washington (and the rest of the world) the many benefits
which public hotspots can provide. And, for that, we will need your input
and your active participation !! We'll post the results on our web site.

Here's how you can help:
On January 20 (or before), please head down to one of our
hotspots. Log in and send us an email, photo or blog entry. Tell us what's
happening and any cool applications or happenings that Open Park's hotspot
enabled. We'll post a sampling of all the communications we receive (and
relevant links) on our web site at the special 2005	Inauguration blog:
http://www.openpark.org/2005inauguration .
Send	correspondence to <A
href="mailto:info at openpark.net">info at openpark.net. Or enter your comments
directly on the blog. And don't forget to tell your friends about our
Inauguration Week service. Open Park's hotspots are free and open to
everyone.

best wishes, Greg Staple President and Co-founder, Open
Park Tel: +1 703 842 4851

P.S. Please note that on Inauguration Day,
January 20, access to some areas covered by Open Park's hotspots may
require you to pass through a security checkpoint and consent to a search.
We have been advised that the public will be permitted to bring WiFi
equipped PDAs and cameras through the security line. However, we have
also been told that law enforcement personnel may not permit people to
bring large hand luggage, including	some types of knapsacks and
briefcases, though there is no per se ban on laptops.
