The only way to truly monitor signal strength is to use a spectrum 
analyze....and that instrument has to be in the field.. it is not 
sufficient to monitor signal strength by evaluating the RF calculation 
from the data stream.... why?  because the data stream RF calculation 
does not report dropouts...signal loss or interference from nearby APs 
operating on the same channel. With a spectrum analyzer...you can see 
the wave form an any anomolies. 

If you change the channel of nthe AP from the NOC... to solve one 
customer's problem.. you run the risk of moving that problem to 
another customer..  

been there...done that
