Peter,

Two items from north of the 49th parallel (ie. Canada) that may be of
interest on this topic.

The first is a story about Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario, that
has banned campus wifi due to concerns about the health effects of RF
emissions. A bit of a voice in the wilderness on this -

The second is a short think piece on campus wifi that I co-authored for the
University of Toronto's weekly newspaper about a year ago -

Also, just for clarification, are you looking for campuses that provide free
wifi to "the public", or just to registered students? Big difference. My
sense is that most offer access to students, but do not allow access to the
broader public.
