Ah, there's nothing on the net more soothing than a low-traffic list,
except for http://www.superbad.com

I don't have firm plans for tonight's show.

I haven't been having much luck tapping into those natural reserves
of Urbana performance energy. I think most of that energy now goes to
power steam turbines that operate gigantic mechnical puppets. The IMC
controls a pipeline that channels radio energy across the Champaign
border. Wednesday nights is also the anti-war art group meeting, which
might mean a potential audence at the expense of potantial collaborators.
It was fun shouting out to them last show. Possibly email lists are a bad
way to invite and organize collaborators. I feel funny asking people to do
things when there are so many people asking people to do things, usually
for more identifiably noble causes.

I have been writing things to read on the radio by myself, which has been
good for me, but kind of scary too.

Mark Enslin and I have considered doing a show dedicated to 12-tone music
on December 5th.

I'm still interested in doing a Phil Ochs show on December 19th. Carl
Estabrook has expressed interest. Hopefully some people who play guitar
and sing will also express interest. There's a guy named Ed who was once
working on a Phil Ochs tribute album. I wonder if he'd be interested in
helping out.

I'd also like to do a show dedicated to Gyorgy Ligeti, and one dedicated
to the roots of electronic music.

William
