Human Rights Night @ the IMC:
"Drying the Waters," Video and Discussion on the Effects of the Drug War on
Columbian Peasants
Tuesday July 10 at 7:00 PM, at the IMC, 218 W. Main St., Downtown Urbana
The U-C IMC presents its second Human Rights Night, featuring the
presentation of the video "Drying the Waters," a documentary on the effects
of the drug war on peasants in Columbia, who are targeted by the Columbian
military and paramilitaries. The documentary, made by a German filmmaker,
gives a view of the situation in Columbia not often seen in the US.
After the video there will be a discussion led by the local Columbia
Support Network. This event is open to the public--all are invited.
For more information or directions to the IMC, call the IMC at 217-344-8820
