Carnival to Raise Capital to Fight Capital

On Friday, September 14th at 7 pm, the public is invited to a party to raise money for local residents traveling to the protests against the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank at the end of the month.  The evening will include information on the IMF and World Bank and performances by Paul Kotheimer, the Prince Myshkins, Michael Holloway, Radical Cheerleaders, and many other local musicians, poets, and performers.  Admission is a $5 to $??, and all proceeds will help defray traveling costs for protesters and independent journalists. The Carnival will be held Friday, September 14th at 7 pm at the Independent Media Center, 218 West Main, Urbana.
