The IMC has two shows featuring bands from the Pacific Northwest: Hutch
and Kathy (The Urban Legends) and Dub Narcotic Sound System.
Shows at the IMC are all ages. Doors open at 7, shows start at 8pm sharp.
218 West Main, Urbana. (217) 344-8820. Cost is $6 or 2 for $10 at the
door. Info on both shows listed below!

On Wednesday, May 1st, Hutch and Kathy (formerly known as "The Urban
Legends") will bring their awesome pop stylings to the IMC all the way
from Portland, Oregon. Hutch sings and plays acoustic guitar, Kathy (also
a member of Portland's The All Girl Summer Fun Band) plays the brush
drums, and they both harmonize to intelligent upbeat songs. Everybody Uh
Oh, l'Spaerow (Chris from Braid and other members of Firebird Band) and
Heller~Mason round out the night.

On Friday, May 3rd, Dub Narcotic Sound System will bring the funk from
Olympia, Washington to the IMC as Calvin Johnson (owner of indie label K
Records), Heather Dunn, and Chris Sutton show up at our front door with
mellow rhythms, snappy drumbeats, and Calvin's fantastic dance moves. Dub
Narcotic borrows the Jamaican production techniques of reusing rhythms in
a variety of contexts. For more info on the band, go to www.kpunk.com.
The Tractor Kings, Re:Rec, and Land Camera Sound (Steve from the Blackouts
solo project open.
