[Imc-events] February Shows at the IMC!

Come have some fun at the IMC! Here is a list of kool events happening in
February at 218 West Main Street:

February 6 (Wednesday): Heller~Mason (music in similar vein as Red House
Painters), Rivulets (this band is from Minnesota and are on Low's
"Chairkickers Union" record label, so if you love the minimalism of Low,
you'll probably love this band!). 8-10pm. Price unconfirmed at this time.

February 16 (Saturday): Local bands Nadafinga & The Failures, 8-10pm. $6.

February 19 (Tuesday): Black Cat Music (goth punk/rock n roll- a cross
between the Rolling Stones and Nick Cave, from Oakland, CA and on Lookout
Records), The Retaliation Project (hardcore from Peoria), and The Gunga
Dins (hardcore from Springfield). 7-10pm. $6.

February 21 (Thursday): anti-folk/activist/folk singer Adam Brodsky (from
Philadelphia)
and local folk singer Joni Laurence (whose music is similar in sound to
the Indigo Girls- pretty darn good!)

February 23 (Saturday): The Dynamo Theorem, Mudskipper, and
Little Joe
Gould.(Indie Rock) 7-10pm. $5.

Stay tuned for a GAZILLION shows in March, including Absinthe Blind and
DMX, The Mountain Goats (Ames Iowa pop folk with a serious cult following-
this stuff is the best so check it out!) LipKandy (queer female-fronted
punk rock from NY) with the Violents, and tons of activist-musicans
stirrin stuff up.
