GLOSSARY (www.glossary.us)
Inspired by an eclectic mixture of influences ranging from Pavement to
the Rolling Stones, Glossary incorporates a sonically layered musical
approach with a clever and heart-felt lyrical voice. Shortly after
forming in 1997 in Murfreesboro, TN, Glossary and friends started
*Champ* records and began recording its first album. Glossary's first
full length recording entitled "Southern By The Grace Of Location" was
released in 1998 and met with critical praise. Starting as an A&R pick
in CMJ's "New Music Report," the album went on to catch the attention
of reviewers from publications such as MTV online, epitonic.com,
buddyhead, and other 'zines. Their record and shows swell with melody
combining layered guitars, bass, and organ. The arrangements are
enhanced with an occasional dobro or lap steel. In a departure from
the standard indie rock fare, songs are sometimes driven by accordion
or piano to create independent American music inspired by Southern
musical values, pop culture, and everyday life. Most recently,
Glossary was named Independent artist of the year in the Nashville
market by The Musicians Atlas.

LORENZO GOETZ (www.lorenzogoetz.com)
More diverse than their name can convey, Lorenzo Goetz play pop/rock
with frequent forays into hiphop, funk, and plenty of other genres.
Described as many things -- "the Beatles meet Beck"; "something
special for a time where diversity is getting pushed aside";
"sometimes pop/rock, sometimes just plain funky"; "melodic
songwriting..with a smooth aftertaste" -- Lorenzo Goetz are surely a
local favorite.

ROSES FOR KITTY (www.rosesforkitty.com)
Roses For Kitty, from Champaign-Urbana's rival of Bloomington, IN,
play genuine and honestly emotional music, with two concept albums
under their belt and a third on the way. They might be best described
as pop/rock with horns -- reminscent of a hybrid of Chicago, Chris
Isaac, Crash Test Dummies, Willie Nelson, and Van Morrison.

RYAN N. GROFF
Opening for the night is Ryan N. Groff, local singer-songwriter armed
with little more than his acoustic guitar, voice, and wit.

All IMC shows are non-smoking and all ages. Non-alcoholic beverages and
snacks will be available. BYOB if 21+.
