See truly independent films, and hear from grassroots writers and 
publishers, at the Power of Living: Become the Media Tour, 7 PM, 
Wednesday  April 9 at the  Independent Media Center, 218 W. Main St., in 
Downtown Urbana. 

The Tour will feature 90 minutes of short movies from Rooftop Films,  a 
non-profit organization that promotes low-budget filmmaking in New York 
City,  and has been showing movies on a roof in Brooklyn for six years.

The Tour also features readings by authors whose work has appeared in 
the pages of Clamor Magazine, an independent bimonthly that publishes 
writing and art that exemplify the values of autonomy, creativity and 
cooperation.
