This Saturday at the IMC: A CHEAP Fantastic Folk Show! Joni has asked
that we keep this show as affordable as possible for the fans. Let's
show her it is worth it and pack the house! $5-$15 sliding scale.

"Joni Laurence sings, plays guitar and writes songs, not unlike lots
of other girls with guitars. So, what makes her stand out? The truth
is, Joni's music is everything you already love about acoustic
music. strong vocals, meaningful lyrics and memorable melodies." When
I first heard Joni sing "Browntown" I was sufficiently inspired that I
made the decision then and there to never move out of Urbana. I hate
to put people in a box but Joni's box would be an Indigo Girls meet
Joni Mitchell shaped box.

Eleni Moraites is another amazing local performer that crosses the
boundaries between folk and indie-rock. "Like Oprah in a cat fight
with Ani Difranco on valium with a hint of 'just got back from church'
and then therapy, sucker-punched by a sweet kiss with a voice like
drinking honey."

The other cool thing about this show is that even though it is only
$5-$15 sliding scale, it still counts on your Frequent Folker
Card. Come to 4 IMC folk shows and get into a fifth one for free. If
you don't have a card yet, get one at the show.
