 Thanks, Brian.

All-in-all, it comes out to $434, right? Considering we have a little over $2k in the bank, plus another $1000 coming in, I'm ok with it.

Subject: [Imc-makerspace] Purchase proposals

Hey Urbana Makers,

This mail is to propose two reimbursements and one purchase to the group
for consensus over the list. Details are a little further down.

Things have been rocking lately. We are doing lots of really cool stuff
and I hope everyone's having fun with the parts they're involved in.

Recently, we got a very good, up-to-date, finance report from the IMC
finance group (thanks, Chris). People have gotten reimbursements for
material donations from the finance group for approved expenses.

Those material donation purchases have been limited to Help Desk
materials, which get drawn from the Help Desk fund, and from the GGHC
grant money, which we were supposed to spend.

Now we're branching out a little. People have been purchasing materials
for our Summer Make-ation workshops. So far, they've been relatively
small. In the feverish planning for the Make-ation workshops, we didn't
think too much of it. But in reality, *every* purchase should be
approved by the group first.

I'm attaching our latest finance report (today's) so people can see
where we're at.

Remember that Acorn Active Media has pledged an additional $1000 to
support the Makerspace, and we expect these funds soon.

The Summer Make-ation organizers propose reimbursement for Jeff for the
cost of materials for the Throwy workshop. The bill comes to $80.

We also propose reimbursement for Jeff for the cost of materials for the
upcoming pewter casting workshop. That bill comes to $66.

The Throwy workshop was awesome, thanks to Jeff's investment and expert
circuit instruction. The Pewter workshop will be a first-of-its-kind for
the Makerspace and represents our first steps in fulfilling all facets
of our DIY mission.

For our microcontroller workshop on July 23, we further propose spending
$217 for 10 Arduino Duemilanove microcontroller kits, $20 for Shape-lock
plastic, and $51 for servos. This one will rock. The benefit of this
purchase is that we will keep and reuse these materials in our own
projects and future workshops.

Can we get consensus for these proposals over the list?

Thanks, Makers!
Brian
