Thanks to everyone for coming today! Here are some notes.
Attendees: Jeff, Monica, Liz, Danielle, James, Brian, Emily, Elizabeth,

*) Opens
-- UC2B City Council meeting (Aug. 30): did anyone attend? No.
-- OTI is hiring, contact Chris Ritzo for details
-- IMC Board Meeting (MU rep: Monica)
$) The IMC is trying to re-imagine the Zine library to be more
accessible
$) They're also working on updating the costume closet; asked for
possible collab with Makerspace
$) The room next door to us (former Zine library) will be rented
out; MU has noise concerns - talk to IMC Board?
$) Have talked about MU teaching a class on protecting your privacy
online; some resources already available online <https://prism-break.org/>
-- Getting rid of the old electronics by the door: *Colten & Barry will
do that* this coming Saturday (Aug. 10)
-- 3D printer was having some issues
$) Need to make a 3D printer rules poster; *Gergana will get that
started* w/ James, Brian, Carleen
$) James will take responsibility for cleaning out the printer for
the first few months
-- Key Holder Nomination: James was nominated by group to be keyholding
member; nomination unanimously accepted
*) Membership/Financial Update
-- Current financial status & rent increase
$) Now running at a $500 deficit; no income since Jan due to
existing issues with PayPal account
$) To get this resolved, we'll do the following:
#) Shared Threads to move their finances to the MU account (*Barry
and Elizabeth will get that done*)
#) Existing keyholder members can pay via check for now (pay
out to: UCIMC - Makerspace) & drop it off at the drop-box in main IMC office
#) *Gergana to touch base* with Erich on Square/Stripe account
- deadline for getting the account setup is *Sunday, Aug. 11*
#) If Square/Stripe will not be complete in reasonable time,
backup is PayPal (need to check with Carol on status)
$) Future sustainability efforts:
#) Need at least 18 paying members to cover the rent only
#) Decide on membership structure & make that public
#) *Beth and Emily will start* planning a fundraising committee

$) Pretty busy recently; now open Sundays 2-4pm, hope to expand in
the future
