[Imc-makerspace] 2 Soldering workshops @ the Makerspace this weekend

If you've thought about soldering before but haven't had the chance to try
it, or you've done simple stuff but are looking to hone your skills, we
have 2 workshops that are right up your alley!  Both of these are happening
on Saturday (Aug 16).

*Intro to Soldering @ 11am

A quick introduction on the basic principles and rules of soldering.
Hands-on practice by soldering a robot blinky badge.  Cost: $5.

*Advanced Soldering Projects @ 3pm*

We have 4 different kits to pick from - TV-b-gone, MintyBoost, Gemma
starter kit, and Atari Punk Console.  All parts and instruction provided
during the workshop.  Cost: $15-20 (depending on the kit chosen).

The Makerspace is located in basement room #16 of the Independent Media
Center (202 S. Broadway Ave, Urbana).

The space can be a little tricky to find but if you enter through the back
bike project door (near the radio tower on the south side of the building)
and take your first left, we're at the end of the hall. If the outside door
is locked just ring the makerspace doorbell or call (816) 287-1717.
