*Hello Makers!*

Makerspace Urbana <http://makerspaceurbana.org/> is happy to announce that
this year we will again be hosting our annual celebration of local Makers
and our Call for Makers <http://heartlandmakerfest.org/callformakers/> is
now open. Last year's event featured more than 20 Makers and over 700
community members were in attendance. This year we've branded our
event the *Heartland
Maker Fest* and we want you to join us

! With your help, we would like to make this year’s event even better!

A little about the event:

Designed to feature both established and local “Makers”, the *Heartland
Maker Fest* is a family-friendly celebration featuring rockets and robots,
DIY science and technology, alternative energy, bicycles, unique hand-made
crafts, music, art, and educational workshop installations.

The Fest will be held at the Lincoln Square Mall in downtown Urbana from
10am to 4pm on Saturday, October 18th. We’ll provide tables and chairs and
electricity (if requested). We’ll handle all the publicity, and we’ll work
with you on building connections through Facebook and Twitter to get the
buzz going. Once again we received a generous grant from the Urbana Arts
Council, so attendees will get in free.
