*Bernie DeKoven* is a game designer, author, lecturer, and theorist of fun.
He is best known for his book *The Well-Played Game*, his contributions to
the New Games Foundation, his pioneering work in computer game design, and
for his websites, deepFUN.com and APlayfulPath.com. During his long career,
he has designed games of all kinds: board and table games; computer games;
social games for small and large groups; theater games; and games for
couples, families, children, and elders. But his greatest impact has been
his development of a theory of fun and playfulness and how it can impact
every aspect of personal, interpersonal, community and institutional health.



*All events take place in Allen Hall, 1005 W. Gregory Drive, Urbana.*

7pm – *How to Facilitate Games and How to Adapt Them to the Players* *(in
the South Rec Room)*

9pm – *tea time - playfulness* (see APlayfulPath.com - download the book if
you want) *(in the guest apartment)*



Thursday, October 2

7pm – *Big Fun Games* – games on a large scale with a lot of people *(outside
if weather allows, in the Main Lounge if not)*

9pm – *tea time - talk about leading and playing big games and say
goodbye* *(in
the guest apartment)*
