Meet Alicia Grimes, an Alternative, Jazz, Funk/Hiphop, singer, songwriter
from Central,Illinois. Alicia Grimes is a very unique and original music
artist that pushes the boundaries through an array of compelling original
songs and dynamic sounds.

Please note, this is not a concert.

*The Lab*: a new space for the creation and development of theatre
performance.


In the inaugural workshop we will engage in ensemble building, imagery and
writing exercises that will render rough original work that can be explored
further in The Lab together or on your own.



We will also explore modes of dramatizing existing text using writer Guang
Yang’s short novel Seaman, the tale of Mei who has to make her family leave
their hometown due to drought, land collapse and a mysterious creature.



The workshop is designed to be an energizing two-hour experience. No
theatre experience or training is necessary. I hope to see you there!

*The Bike Project: Weekly Rides*

Every Friday we meet up at the Campus Bicycle Center after closing for a
short (4 to 10 mile) ride through and around Champaign-Urbana. We usually
end up at a place that offers food or drink. This is a good way to meet
other cyclists, learn to cycle in traffic and in a group, and maybe find
some parts of the community that you didn’t know about. You will want to
bring your helmet and your lights, because it can be dark at the end of
this social and fun ride.  All rides leave from the campus location
