[Imc-midwest-regional] Small town IMC's

 I am interested in Developing Community Centers , such as the one here in Urbana in the small towns of Illinois 
I know from my experiences that many small towns are full of youthful activist types BUT boredom and lack of guidance and knowing how to find what they are desparately searching for , people get "lost" and become part of the problem instead of the solution, 
It feels very enmpowering to think about the possibilities of reaching out to all the towns in Illinois, offering them a space on the internetto post their local news, rants, etc. and in the process and also, ost importantly help them develop Community Space to help revitalize the Small towns into Communities of small agri-business people ran self sustaining eco villiage etc typ of VIlliages instead of what many of them are becoming today , with rampant alcohol and drug abuse, and very few rewarding jobs.
The reason I post this here is because I think REGIONAL is a perfect angle to take on this type of project, where as similar regions of these United States have similar economies, and likenesses and therefore they can certainly help each other.
Of course this should also be approached at the Global , and National Level and of course IMC's can/should "adopt" surrounding towns.
Basically , as i see it, this is all about Communication , the basic focus of Media, the education of what works and what doesn't.
   I am going to take these thoughts to  UCIMC OUTREACH and further develop them their also.
