The Israeli occupation of Palestine has been bankrolled by direct U.S. aid –
totalling roughly $100 billion in the last three decades – and billions more
in indirect support for Israel Bonds, investment in Israeli companies, and
investment in U.S. companies that sell weapons and goods to Israel. The
Israeli government’s treatment of Palestinians is nothing short of
apartheid...a systematic effort to displace Palestinians from their homeland,
deny their basic rights, and rob them of their future.

At the same time, students, church groups, civil liberties advocates and
activists from around the country are building projects on the ground to
oppose aid to Israel – and to pressure local and national institutions to
divest from Israel and end financial support for Israel’s brutal repression
of the Palestinian people. Learn what you can do to help build an effective
local and national movement for divestment in Israel.

It has worked before – and it can work again. Join us.

Workshop topics:
* History of the U.S. in the Middle East
* Palestine 101: A Crash Course in Palestinian History
* Myths of the ‘Peace Process’
* Women in Palestine
* Global Justice and the Palestinian Struggle
* Divestment Then & Now: from South Africa to Palestine
