Hi,

I just came across your web site, and I'm interested in what you're doing.
I'm a freelance journalist in Urbana who writes news and features for
national magazines and online news sites, mostly about science, medicine and
the environment. I've been here for eight years and have long thought this
town needed some fresh voices, so I'm glad to see you're doing this. I've
never worked for the News-Gazette because I didn't want to work for a
mediocre right-wing rag.

I'd be interested in talking to you about your effort and maybe writing for
you about local issues. Let me know: I have a few years of journalism
experience and I know this town, so I might have something of value to
contribute.
