Tuesday/February 28 & March 7 - Writing To Make The News
***************************************************************************
News releases, advisories, and pitch letters must carry a fresh, unique
idea and phrasing that immediately convince journalists a story and
organization is newsworthy. In this two-session workshop, participants
will find, craft and cultivate bright media moments and create story lines
and phrasing that win media coverage.

A few spots are still available for this workshop for volunteers and staff
of nonprofits. Call us at 312-344-6400 if you have questions.

Wednesday/ March 8 - Storytelling To Create Change
***************************************************************************
A good story is a prerequisite to media coverage and a key to the public's
connection to your organization. Information and statistics are not
enough. Learn to find your organization's stories and how to tell stories
with impact. Come ready to write, sweat and try out story ideas in small
groups.

Class size is limited, but some room is still available.

Tuesday/March 14 - Develop and Sharpen Your Message
***************************************************************************
Communicating what you're doing quickly and convincingly helps further your
organization's mission and bottom line. Learn to develop messages that
work. Lack of clarity and jargon will be covered as participants develop a
"key message" and focus on a given audience, research their values and
concerns, determine the best way to reach that audience, and put the whole
thing together to craft messages that move people to action.
