*Muslim Community to Hold Art Exhibit on April 21**st** *

*to Explore the "Muslim Experience"*

Urbana, IL 04/25/2007. The Muslim Students Association (MSA) at the
University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign is holding an art exhibit at
April 21st, 2007 from 5 to 7pm at the Illini Union Art Gallery.

The challenges facing Muslim students in balancing their faith obligations
and academic pursuits on campus and interactions with fellow students have
prompted us to explore the "Muslim Experience" in this artistic endeavor.

The Muslim Students Association (MSA) at the University of Illinois at
Urbana- Champaign is one of the oldest MSAs in the North America.  It was
started at the Illini Union in 1963 and has since expanded to more than 200
MSAs throughout North America.

The MSA wishes to display the originality, the creativity, and the artistic
expression by the Muslim students here on campus.  All of the artwork that
will be displayed at the art exhibit has been created by the UIUC Muslim
students.  Displaying very serious to light-hearted art, we hope to present
the diversity among the Muslim students at UIUC.
