[Imc-radio] We need segments!

Hi all,

Our backlog of evergreen segments has been depleted, and we
currently have _nothing_ scheduled for next week's show. This is of
course a pretty slow time for the community, as Summer Session II
hasn't started yet, and there aren't a lot of events to cover. Does
anyone have ideas for segments? Here are a few of mine:

AWARE's weekly demonstration on North Propsect is going on
hiatus after this Saturday. One possibility would be for someone to
attend and interview people, getting their thoughts on the past one
and a half years of that protest, including thoughts on the counter
protesters and on what the continued role AWARE and P4P is in the
post-war occupation. Any takers? I could help someone produce it
Sunday afternoon, if needed. The demonstration is from 2-4pm.

Also, there was recently a victory for bricks in Urbana.
There was an effort to replace some brick sidewalks with concrete,
which failed. The Historic East Urbana Neighborhood Association is
having a party/workshop to teach people how to redo brick sidewalks at
2pm this Saturday at 402 S Anderson. It's a potluck with live music.
That's Laura Hith's ward, and she would be happy to talk with people
about the brick issue and the recent decision in city council. An
interview with her combined with an interview with residents at the
workshop would be a good "citizen empowerment" piece.
