Subject: Good News, a change and an invitation

To All of Our Fabulous Reporters:

Hello.  Allow me to thank you for all of your hard work!  I have some good
news.  As of June 1, 2003, we will be raising the Feature story payment to
160.00.

On another note, in the interest of keeping our cash flow consistent, there
are a new set of deadline times to get your invoices in for payment.

All invoices must be in one month from the feature or headline air date. (for
people in the United States) and two months from the feature or headline air
date (for people outside of the United States) You will have until July 30,
2003, to catch up all outstanding invoices.  This will be done on a first come
first serve basis and I will pay out up to 1000.00 each week.

If you send in a, "catch-up," invoice after these times, it will go to the
bottom of the stack and will be paid out, when the money is available.  We have
to have some guidelines to keep our finances healthy, rather than
unpredictable.

As your bookkeeper, I send all checks invoiced from the week before, if the
invoice is received by 9:00p.m.on the Saturday before the Monday pay date.

Lastly and most excitingly, I just wanted to remind all of you that we work
for a really great worker run collaborative in which each and every one of you
can have a voice and your participation can really make a difference in the
growth and outcome of Free Speech Radio News.  We need your participation and
there are many areas where each one of you could have an impact.  Writer?  You
could work up the newsletter.  Are Numbers your friend? (participate in the
budgeting process)  Grant Writer?  Help us bring in the moola. Charismatic
advertiser?  Then you could get the word out to the masses about Free Speech Radio
News.  All Fresh ideas and thoughts are welcome.  And by the way… All the
changes above were voted on at the steering committee meeting.

All Free Speech Radio members are welcome. (You are automatically a member if
you have filled three features or five headlines :)

To make a difference, please send me an email with the words, "More info" in
the subject line and I will give you the times we meet each week.
