Greetings Reporters,

It’s THAT time again! November is around the corner and the Documentary
season is HERE! Free Speech Radio News is soliciting pitches for two, 29
minute  documentaries to air nationwide- one will air Thursday, November
27th and the second will air Friday, November 28th, 2003.

The commissioned documentaries will air in place of the regular broadcast
of Free Speech Radio News.  Past Documentaries include:

July 4th Special Documentary--Hacking Democracy: Problems with
Computerized Voting, by Geoff Brady

And

A Prison Without Bars: A Ranch Where Hope Grows, by Prison Radio’s
Noelle Hanrahan

We seek to commission sound- rich, compelling stories on progressive
issues.   Please e-mail to fsrn-features at wbai.org a detailed one to  two
paragraph pitch outlining the project, including the intended voices and
ambient sound options.  Our deadline for pitches is Monday, October 27th
2003.  Please e-mail pitches directly to fsrn-features at wbai.org  Please
indicate in the subject line: November Documentary Pitch or December

If you are not available to pitch a story- How about joining the
Documentary Selection Team! We are seeking FSRN reporters to join and
help commission the 2 documentaries. If you are interested in
participating: send and e-mail to fsrn-features at wbai.org and indicate in
the Subject line: Documentary Selection Team.
