Minutes: 2/17.
attending: Danielle C., Sandra A., Carol M.

action items/ response needed from the following peeps: Ondine, Zach, Lori
Serb, Linda Evans, Paul K., Ben Grosser

show date / notes:
2/23 - Sarah K. is producing. Sarah L is doing headlines. Sandra has audio
from the PRC press conference regarding "the mascot". If you want to do a
headline that is a recap of events that are happening this week... you can
you a clip from that audio. Sandra will get audio downloaded and put in file
on Rosa (if you want it)
3/1 - Sandra is producing with help (hopefully) from Paul K. Need headlines
coordinator. This show will be mostly "Citizens Speak". (or first person
stories). Potential contributors: Lori Serb reading her article from Public
i about being arrested with some info on the Police Review Board and what
their goals are and when they meet. (Lori can you produce this?). Ben
Grosser from his blog. Linda Evans reading a pared down version on her
article that was previously published in the Public i regarding advocating
for yourself in healthcare. Peter Roloff regarding White Liberal disregard
for Al Sharpton (pared down version of what was published in Public i). Also
Ondine Gross could interview Carol Spindel.(just a suggestion... let us
know)

3/15 - Danielle producing - possibly Parkland making things harder on
homeschoolers story. Carol will have written outline of gay marriages story
done on 2/24 and we will give feedback on what kind of audio to collect to
go with it.
3/22 - we hope Zach can produce
3/29... - ??

potential producers: Lori Serb, Sarah K., Sarah L. - need to grow this
list.

discussed possiblity of trying to make reporting/ producing easier with some
kind of template. what doesn't work for easy producing is gathering LOTS of
audio and then trying to sort through it and write a story. instead possibly
follow 4 steps. 1) do some research 2) particpate with research in
storytelling workshop/ meeting. 3. write story 4. just get a few audio clips
to use with the story. We need to think this through...and we realize that
people can produce anyway they want... but we need some really easy way to
make interesting stories also.

Danielle suggests also making sure that everyone always carry recording
equipment... even just a cassette player... just like everyone carries a
camera with them. (they do?)

discussed possiblity of approaching those very approachable peeps at OJC to
see is we could have a branch of the IMC (the audio producing branch) at
their offices. We brainstormed on the pros and cons of this.
