Hi fabulous reporters, one and all:

I have four short messages to share:

1.  A Reminder:  Open editorial meeting for all FSRN reporters on Saturday,
March 6th at 12 noon US Eastern time, 9 AM US Pacific Time, and 5 PM GMT.

The focus of this meeting is U.S. election coverage.  However, a final agenda
has not been set.  All reporters are encouraged to attend and be part of
determing the overall direction of the organization's editorial policy.

Also remember that phone expenses you incur for FSRN organizational business
are ALWAYS reimbursable.  Therefore, you may invoice for your phone costs.
Money
should not be a reason to stay away from this call.  Please contact us if you
would like to join the call but have financial obstacles.

4.  Reporters--We Want Your Pictures
We've realized that we need photographs.  Do you take digital
pictures as you cover stories?  Have pictures of yourself?  Please
send us a copy.

We'll use them in fundraising, on the website, maybe even make a 2005
calendar.
Noelle Hanrahan has agreed to collect the photos.  She can handle
.jpeg.  (Larger files should be uploaded to server.)   Noelle's

3.  And Lastly...NEWS FLASH!!   Did you know that if you have filed three
features or five headlines that you are a member of Free Speech Radio News.  What
this means is that you are able to have a voice in how FSRN is run!!! (Yay,
You!!)  This is your free ticket on to the STEERING COMMITTEE.  The meetings
alternate from Monday night at 6:00 pacific time, to 4:00 pacific time on
Tuesday.

Here's what you do:

a.  send an email to steering and let us know that you would like to
participate or send an email to Billhelpj at aol.com, to find out what night the next
meeting is, or to ask any questions.
b.  call in to the conference line.  The conference call line number is
620-584-8200.  Our passcode is 754209#.
c.  Add your thoughts and your voice to make this the best worker run
organization around.  We need you :)
